Privacy policy

This policy covers arynlynn.com, library.arynlynn.com, closet.arynlynn.com, and the text-to-post phone number. They’re personal projects run by Aryn Davis. The short version: there are no ads, no analytics, and nothing is sold.

Visiting the websites

  • The sites don’t use cookies, analytics, advertising trackers, or third-party scripts, fonts or images.
  • Like any website, the hosting provider (Netlify) receives standard request information, such as your IP address and browser, to serve pages and keep them secure. That’s handled under Netlify’s own privacy policy.
  • Links to other sites (LinkedIn, Instagram, Substack, GitHub, Open Library) follow those sites’ policies once you leave.

Email

Messages to hello@arynlynn.com are forwarded (by the domain registrar, Porkbun) to Aryn’s personal inbox. Your email address and message are used only to read and reply to you.

The library and closet apps

  • Visitors can browse without an account, and nothing is collected about them beyond the hosting information above.
  • Only Aryn can sign in. Signing in keeps a login session in that browser. The apps’ data is stored with Supabase.
  • When Aryn lends a book, the borrower’s name and any contact details she notes are visible only to her. Visitors only see that a book is checked out. If you’ve borrowed a book and want your details removed, email hello@arynlynn.com.
  • The closet’s clothing scanner runs in the browser; outfit photos aren’t sent to any AI service.

Text messages

  • The text-to-post number serves only the site owner (see the SMS policy). Texts from any other number are ignored and not stored by this site.
  • Messages are delivered by Twilio and processed by a Netlify function. A note waiting for your YES is stored until it’s posted, discarded, or replaced by your next note. A daily message count (with no phone number attached) is kept to limit use.
  • A published tasting note becomes public on the website. The phone number it came from never does.
  • Mobile information is not shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Children

These sites aren’t directed at children under 13, and don’t knowingly collect their information.
